Entrance – Cross-IT
Design for the entrance hall of a computer company in Biel. The composition of space: colour and materials and use of light and transparency serve as a means of visual communication. Zero and One (I/O) are used as a visual metaphor for the spatial design.
The vertical oak wooden slats serve as translucent dividers of spaces. The cut ‘windows’ are re-used on the walls as frames for storage or decoration and LED strips inserted into the wood act as additional light sources. The Swiss cross - Cross-IT quality label - is integrated into the wooden composition and even the door handle of the conference room has been replaced with oak.
