Signage – En Jonchets
Concept and execution of an entire building signalisation signage system in Bussigny, in the Swiss canton of Vaud. Twelve five-storey buildings are designed based on a modular grid. The inside and outside inscriptions of the signage system resemble the modular architectural concept of the building ( or construction ). The lettering addresses residents and visitors through a simple, discreet signage that is in harmony with the characteristics lineaments/ traits/specifications of the site.
A Japanese cherry will blossom in the inner courtyard of the residential complex. The pink color used for the lettering does not only fit in with the concrete, but also with the surrounding nature of the building.
The linear sans-serif typography also illustrates the characteristics of the architecture. It was designed by Emphase and inspired by the geometric and timeless forms of the Bauhaus movement/era.
