Infographic – Colorado River
The San Francisco-based magazine, Mother Jones, highlighted the Colorado River as the main topic in one of its issues. This river is vital for many people, but it is unfortunately drying up, largely due to the significant irrigation demands from agriculture.
To address this need, we designed a detailed map showcasing the river's course, surrounding terrains, the states it crosses, the major cities it supplies, and the dams and reservoir lakes. Additionally, we created a Sankey diagram illustrating the distribution of the river's water uses, notably revealing that 79% of the water is used for agricultural irrigation, all complemented by relevant illustrations.
