Poster – Network

On behalf of the ETH Board, we designed a scientific poster for the National Network for Scientific Advice (NWN), making the network’s structure, workflows, and objectives visible. The NWN supports political and administrative bodies in managing crises, identifying risks early, and making decisions based on scientific expertise.

At the center of the poster is a dynamic cluster of disciplines, including cybersecurity, disinformation, economic crises, and public health. An organic field of lines in infinite loops connects the disciplines and illustrates the exchange of knowledge among researchers and experts. Flowing forms extend upward and downward, linking the individual process stages, while color gradients translated into a bitmap grid create points that highlight the network’s dense connections and collaborative work. Accompanying texts explain the process stages, from incoming requests to collaboration within the cluster and scientific advice, culminating in the overarching objective: to support well-founded political decisions and make Switzerland more resilient and crisis-proof.
